Hello friends!
Even I have been really busy lately, with the school and work, I wanted to share some photos from my trip to Finland. I love my mom's garden, with small vegetable patch for carrots, potatos, onions and others.
Carrots and strawberries living freely together.
It was already fall with 15 degrees, unlike here in France we still have around 30 degrees.
I'm quite ready for the crisp mornings, warm drinks and lovely wool shirts.
Come Fall, come!
I bought some organic tea's from Ruohonjuuri store, what is a bio store in Finland (but the teas are originally made in England)
I like the idea to have bio products and handmade things, I bought this bamboo dishcloth what is washable and long lasting.
And who doesn't love bikes?
Little bit of Tiramisu syprup for my coffee..
And peppermint extract for baking..
Some handmade marmelades
and lingonberry chocolates for R's sister (for her birthday)
Yup, so I started the school. How it went? Thank you for asking -
I'm in trouble.
It is so hard to study in french, my first reaction was to quit it and leave to Finland.
As I did came twice back home crying, I really don't feel like going back there anymore.
Since everybody is waiting much from me, I don't have a choise than try and continue..
I'm not happy with my life, so far. Maybe it will get easier.
Tomorrow back to school.
[long sigh]
I need to find back the positive thoughts, so I made a list:
- I got a sewing machine from my sister!
- Léonie is finally behaving nicely at night (she needs to sleep in another room, though), and we can sleep.
- Next Saturday is supposed to be many shootings stars at evening, we will go and see these with R.
- Mexican picnic on sunday as it's our friend's birthday
And I just need to find time for trying the sewing machine.
Have a great wednesday!

these photos are so beautiful! they left me craving organic/healthy veggies!
ReplyDeleteI"m sorry you aren't enjoying school. I do hope things get better and you are able to stick it out. But there is nothing wrong if you can't. If you have to leave - leave. Do what makes you happy, not what you think other people want you to do. This is your life. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Finland looks amazing!

Dear Sini-
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment on rockstar diaries and I just had to look- we share the same name! My family and close friends call me Sini. My mom is also from Finland, but has lived in the U.S. for a long time now. I just took my husband and three boys to Finland last summer to visit my mom's family! I love seeing your photos!

Beautiful images! I remember the mystery that was growing carrots when I was a kid - I loved pulling up the surprises of orange always a bit dirty but deliciousness awaited.
ReplyDeletewonderful photos... love them all. those carrots must be really sweet... XOXO
ReplyDeleteAnnie, I am happy to tell that the school is getting better, maybe it was just the beginner's panic :) I still need to figure out that I am doing this for me, not for the others but so far so good.
ReplyDeleteWelcome Kylie! Thank you very much.
Sinika, This is great! So nice to hear your story, I will definetly visit your blog too. Hope you liked Finland!
Stephanie and Tadoette, yes sweet and best tasting ever. I felt like little kid when pulling carrots from the ground :)
Our garden didn't do so well this summer but I have high hopes for next year! Those photographs make me hungry for carrots! :)
ReplyDeletewhat beautiful beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteand you are going to LOVE sewing!
ReplyDeleteSini, these pictures are absolutely stunning :) they make me LONG for fall weather. Here is california I am still wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts! I haven't even thought about my winter garden because of this warm weather that WONT LEAVE!
