Easy rye bread
[makes 4 bread]
1kg of rye flour
1 litre of luke warm water
yeast [dry or fresh, amount depends of the product]
I made half of this recipe, it made 2 huge breads.
Original recipe tells to bake the breads in 250celsius[482F] 50minutes, but I did put only 120 degrees
(248F) up to 2 hours in oven with a tray full of water on the bottom of the oven. It gave crispy cover for the bread.
I still want to warn you, this isn't truly traditional ryebread because it does contain yeast. And that gives it a different taste, also it is quite hard to bite - don't break your teeths! I'll give you a recipe to make a rye bread from the root if you prefer. That will take up to one week to get fermented before baking.
Red Velvet Cupcakes for Valentine's day (recipe from Nigella Lawson's book)
My tiny kitchen
New winter boots
And Léonie wanted the box!
She loves boxes, and keep on destroying these.
And I made chocolate cake without flour (prefect for me, it's glutein free and doesn't make me sick)
It made a crust but it was really good!
150g dark chocolate (good quality)
150g soft butter
100g ground almond
4 big spoons of chocolate powder (good quality)
( the recipe had lime juice too, but I didn't have it)
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Melt the chocolate and butter together, let it cool after.
Mix the eggs with sugar until it triples its quantity, white and foamy cream.
I made it with my kitchen machine, hand machine will take long to get good fluffy mix.
Mix almond powder and chocolate powder together, turn it carefully to the egg-sugar mix. Add the chocolate-butter mix and make the mix even.
The recipe calls for baking 40 to 45mins but mine too less than that, maybe 30minutes.
Today we are going to the parents to have lunch together, the Mistral wind is back and I am really tired. My head keeps on burning and aching (the two wounds in my head are bigger than in my hand) and I cannot sleep, even the medicines I got doesn't work. I hope it will be better by tomorrow since I need to go to work and I did refused to take sickleave. Train trip it is tomorrow, cannot drive a car yet.
Have a nice sunday!
